Our Vintage 2014
Champagnes usually lack a specific year, as they're blended from multiple years for consistent quality. However, in exceptional conditions and quality harvests, Champagne makers are allowed to produce a Vintage or 'Millésime,' a unique and complex Champagne that testifies to a year's excellence. The Vintage captures the distinct climatic conditions, grape quality, and winemaking techniques of that year.
In 2013/2014, a mild, rainy autumn and winter led to early budburst, followed by a mixed spring and a sunny, dry end of summer, resulting in exceptional grape ripening.
Our 2014 Vintage, harvested on September 10, 2014, combines 66% Chardonnay Grand Cru (Mesnil sur Oger) and 34% Pinot Noir for intense, balanced flavors. The Chardonnay offers density, ripe citrus hints, and a saline depth, while the Pinot Noir brings a frank, fleshy character, creating a well-developed aromatic profile. This gastronomic and complex Champagne is perfect for the most special occasions, with only 3,000 bottles produced.
